Description

I hold a BSc (hons) degree from the University of East London in Integrative Counselling which included extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Existential Therapy. It is also the only degree which is recognised by the BACP of which I am a member and I am working towards full accreditation. I also have an MSc in Psychology.
I also hold diplomas permitting work with clients who have experienced Domestic Violence, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Inner Child Healing Issues, Depression, Addiction Dependency, Anger Issues or who are Bipolar. I enrol on many Professional Development Courses per year and am currently working on Diplomas in Journal Therapy and Colour Therapy which will add more skills to my already extensive toolbox.
I am a compassionate counsellor who offers clients the opportunity to explore any issues currently being experienced within a supportive and empathic counselling relationship. I feel comfortable engaging with people from all cultural backgrounds and possess the ability to retain an objective and realistic approach to the goals of therapy. I have supported clients across the whole age range from five years of age up to seventy years. As part of my degree, I was required to have therapy. I've been in your position I know the anxiety it can cause and will do all I can to make beginning therapy as stress-free as possible.
I have enhanced DBS.
I also see clients for both CARA and Mind.
